Dr. Shaun Freeman grew up in Merrillville, Indiana, and graduated from Merrillville High School in 2005. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, and went on to complete his dental degree at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN.
He is committed to providing quality, comprehensive dental care to patients in the community.
Outside the office, Dr. Shaun enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams.
Dr. Maya Gendlin Freeman is a Northwest Indiana native, graduating from Munster High School. She graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2014, and has spent the latter half of her career practicing in Crown Point, IN.
She is passionate about lifetime care, and establishing meaningful relationships with her patients. She is excited to offer care in all phases of dentistry, including Botox and Juvéderm filler treatment.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and her dogs, Olive and Kiwi. She also loves traveling.

With over 7 years of experience at the front desk, I love being the first smile patients see when they walk through our doors. Building relationships and helping each person feel comfortable and cared for is my favorite part of the job. I’m married to my best friend, Cody, and we have two amazing kids, Gunner and Hadley—with baby #3 on the way! Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, and trying new restaurants.
Hi, I’m Kelly! I have been in the dental field for seven years! I joined Sand Creek dental in 2021 as a front desk team member. I specialize in working with our patients and helping them with all their insurance and scheduling needs. Providing great customer service is my highest priority! When I’m not at the office I love spending time with my son and I enjoy running and being outdoors.
Hi, I’m Denise. I am delighted to be a part of the Sand Creek Dental team. I bring with me 30 plus years of working with people, nine of which have been in the dental field. I enjoy getting to know each patient and their families and making them feel welcome and strive to making their dental visit a pleasurable one. When I am not working, I enjoy camping and spending time with my 4 grandkids.
Hi, my name is Kelly Ann and this is my first year in dental as a front desk coordinator. I have loved getting to know the patients at Sand Creek Dental and look forward to meeting new patients as they come and join the Sand Creek Dental family. In my spare time, I love to cycle and I am always up for an adventure and travel. I have 6 amazing children and 7 grandchildren who light up my world.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three daughters. I love being a hygienist because of the connections I’ve made with our patients over the years and I am proud to be part of a practice that provides high-quality dentistry in a caring environment.
Hi, my name is Marci. I am a dental hygienist who has worked at Sand Creek Dental since 2012. My husband and I live in Chesterton where we have raised our two children. We love to walk our dog at Dunes State Park and other area trails. I love that dentistry can have a positive impact on someone’s smile. I’m glad to be part of a team that feels like family.
Hi, my name is Angie. I received my associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Indiana University in 2012. My husband and I live in Valparaiso where we are raising our daughter. We love to hike and camp and anything outdoors. I love being a hygienist because I think it’s important to help patients feel comfortable while receiving care.
I have been a Dental Assistant for many years. My dental training started in 1990 at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California. I love educating my patients about dentistry – it is a big part of people’s health. I pride myself on staying well educated within my field so I can better serve the people around me. There is nothing more satisfying to me than to put a smile on someone’s face and calm their fears. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and grandchildren. I also love traveling, running and church activities.

When I’m not at work, I’m spending time with my fiancé and our families! As well as working on DIY projects around our new home and playing with our two pups!

I know the dental chair can be a nervous place for many, so I always strive to bring compassion, understanding, and a calming presence to every appointment. I love helping patients feel at ease and confident in their smiles. Originally from Chesterton, I’m proud to call this beautiful town home. Outside the office, you’ll find me enjoying the beach, reading a good book, or spending time with my amazing daughter. Whether I’m assisting chairside or connecting with patients one-on-one, I bring heart, skill, and a genuine love for what I do.
